32" (81.2 cm) strand, each bead from 1-3/8" to 2" in diameter, 980 grams
Early to mid-20th century

These beads are referred to as African amber and were made in Europe, likely Germany, of phenolic resin or Bakelite. This is a nice strand of 30 beads from a private Nevada collection with ID number 3628-242. The beads are all in good shape save for one, which has a chip on one side. It can be seen in the photo below, 15th bead from the knot on the right half of the strand.
