A nearly anthropomorphic whistle from the Tshokwe of Angola. Hanging at a slight diagonal from a cord that would have gone through the well-worn hole on the right, this shows years of handling and use. Since there is a faint smell of smoke in the body cavity, I suspect the original owner was a heavy smoker, unless this doubled as a tobacco container or occasional pipe.
