A nearly anthropomorphic whistle from the Chokwe of Angola. Hanging at
a slight diagonal from a cord that would have gone through the well-worn
hole on the right, this shows years of handling and use. Since there is
a faint smell of smoke in the body cavity, I suspect the original owner
was a heavy smoker, unless this doubled as a tobacco container or
occasional pipe. With a honey brown patina, it measures 5" in height.
