Ceremonial cinta (hair ribbon)

Mid-20th century
111" (282 cm) long by 1.25" (3.2 cm) wide
Woven by hand on a backstrap loom, the fringe is now completely untangled. Cinta were worn wrapped in the hair of women and girls during ceremonial occasions.
