Don Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla aka Miguel Hidalgo, was a Mexican Roman Catholic priest, a champion of the poor and a leader of the Mexican War of Independence. This very large portrait bust was collected in the 1950s by the Roscoes and is in very good condition.
