A large, classic handwoven rattan wedding basket from China. This round three-tiered example has woven geometric dyed rattan designs and orange/red interior wood and rattan. It's in great shape, with an auspicious brass bat on each of the side bamboo supports. These baskets would be used to carry gifts from the bride to the family of her betrothed.
