The Hindu Goddess Parvati is known as "the daughter of the mountain." She is Shiva's loyal and loving consort and the benign aspect of Mother Devi.  Here she wears the tall, multi-tiered karandamukuta crown and striped dhoti. With her weight on her left leg, her body is accentuated by her left arm, which she holds in a gesture known as lolahasta, while her right hand holding a lotus.
