This large burnished pitcher with long graceful spout comes from the Marlik region of the
Gohar valley in Gilan province, Iran. Historical objects unearthed from Gohar Roud (Marlik) in 1961 indicate that the territory was once a center of art which influenced the entire Middle East. This piece measures 12” long by 11.5” high. Circa 12-10th century B.C. From an old North Carolina collection; the buyer will be provided with a certificate of provenance. #5074  $4800
