     A wood mask from the Middle Hills, Nepal. It measures 6" wide by 11" high and does have a little red in the wood, but it is really a chocolate brown. The earlobes have holes that are worn through and there are three holes in the top of the head. A few metal fragments are embedded in the forehead - see close-up below. Mid-19th century.
