Eduardo Chillida was born in San Sebastián, Spain and began his career studying architecture at the University of Madrid. He turned to drawing and sculpture (see below), but his art was always informed by his consideration of the ways in which mass and volume contain space. This is evident in his works on paper, as in this large one-color etching, printed and published by Stamperia 2RC - Rome, which is framed in black felt-lined matte board and an aluminum.
