This is a boar’s tusk necklace from
Collingwood Bay,
Papua New Guinea.
The two boar’s tusks measure 6-1/2" across and the fiber string is 27"
long. The four seed pods are strung with fiber and chips and disks of
spondylus shell are tied onto the cord. There is a small native repair
with pink twine at the join of one boar tusk. Early 20th
century. #2135
