Oceanic Art - Boomerang, North Western Australia


A graceful wood boomerang from North Western Australia, most likely around coastal Broome. These were usually painted with red and white stripes, while this example has remnants of yellow and blue pigment. It measures 22.5” in height and has a custom base. Published in a catalog by Patrick and Ondine Mestdagh, 2004. 19th century.  #2766  SOLD
