This is a luminous pearl shell pubic cover from the Kimberly area of Western Australia, worn by  men during certain ceremonies. It still has the human hair rope that would wrap around the man’s waist, and it measures 6.5" high by 5” wide.  Early 20th century. #9623  $1200
