This carved float would have been attached to the center of a net used to catch dugong; this one portrays a swimming animal, with the intials SB carefully carved on one side and SIKINI on the other. Magical qualities were assocoated with carved net floats and were believed to aid in the catching of more dugong. Ex Harry Beran, ex John Friede.
