A figurative wood door lock from the Bamana (Bambara) people of Mali. This probably depicts a female ancestor whose features are conveyed in a very simple abstract form. Her neck from the side view has a marvelous crook, and she measures 17’ in height and width. Early 20th century.  #5692  SOLD
