African Tribal Art - Forked iron and leather cache-sex, Kirdi, Cameroon

This unusual leather and iron cache-sex is from the Kirdi tribe of Northern Cameroon/Eastern Nigeria. Probably more protective than attractive in function, this one has tines similar to the more commonly seen triangular cache-sex from the Kirdi (see item #3094 in the Africa gallery). It measures 15” high. Early to mid-20th century.  #3092 SOLD
