17 and 15.5 inches high (43 and 39.3 cm) as based, 8.5 (21.5 cm) wide and 4 inches (10 cm) deep
Late 19th-early 20th century

Two large carved hardwood phalluses from the Fon Tribe on the border of Togo and Ghana. These are called Legba, named after a deity, and were placed in the ground to stimulate the growth of crops.  The condition is good, with some stable loss in the area that was buried.
