African Tribal Art - Appliquéd skirt, Kuba, D.R. Congo


This appliquéd dance skirt in a gorgeous taupe color is from the Kuba, D.R. Congo. The design moves from very complex at the curved end to much more open space at the rectangular end - a full photo of it is impossible at present, but these photos do overlap to show the entire skirt. It measures 11' 4" by 36" and is in very good condition with just a few small holes. Please see detail photos below. Mid 20th century. #9140  SOLD
