This Guatemalan dance mask is carved from a reddish hardwood and possesses a stylized crown of thorns or battlement design on the forehead and temples. With a noble nose and full moustache, his eyes were carved rather than inlaid with glass. It measures 8” in height by 6.5” in width. 19th century. #2801 $2800 |
