Hide, wool, shells, metal, glass beads
11 inches (28 cm) high, 4 inches (10 cm) wide

Ex Roslyn Tunis estate, Oakland, CA

A wonderful "No Face Doll", probably made by Emma Amiotte. The green wool dress is adorned with small glass beads on the front and back of the bodice and in two rows above the hem. Small cowrie shells are stitched on to the entire central portion of the dress, which is bordered at the sleeves and hem in red wool. Beaded moccasins and leggings complete her outfit. Dentalium shell earrings dangle 2.5 inches, capped with cowrie shells.
