This whimsical carved burl wood lantern hook is from China. With two prowling lions or foo dogs, a dragon, bird, deer, monkey and a seed pod, it has all the symbolic magic it needs. The dust shows brighter in the photos than it is, but I did not want to clean it. It has a metal loop at one end for hanging by a cord and a metal hook at the business end for catching the lantern.
