Asian Tribal Art - Thokcha or thogchag, Tibet

Three magical talismans known as thokchas or thogchags by the Tibetans, which literally translates as "heavenly iron." These were thought to fall from the sky as gifts and were used as powerful amulets for healing and protection, passed on from one generation to the next. These three are from the 10th to 14th century and are all Buddhist.
