The handspun cotton threads for this huipil are woven in two long panels of red ground and fine yellow warp stripes, with wider stripes composed of very dark green, blue, red, and purple yarn. The shoulders are decorated with a soumak herringbone pattern in wool that is unique to this village, as are the four sets of "feathers" at the ends of the horizontal stripes. There is a small soumak 'signature' on the lower right front.
