An unusual kendi holy water earthenware vessel from Lampung Regency, south Sumatra. This one stands 10” high and has painted linear designs on the body and base. The spout has the zoomorphic shape symbolizing the lower world of agriculture and the subterranean. Early 20^th century.  #2652  SOLD
