This is a wood food bowl from Lumi, located in the heart of the Sandaun (sundown) Province of the northwestern corner of Papua New Guinea. With a heavily encrusted patina and an intact handle on one side, this is an exceptionally fine example. Stone carved, pre-contact, it measures 14" wide and 9" high. #2175 SOLD |
