An unusual terracotta mold for a Roman style helmet from Mexico. Helmets in this shape were used in the Centurion's dance and were worn by the dancer representing Longinus, the Centurion who speared Christ. It measures 8" high by 7" wide as viewed from the front and has some repaired areas visible on the inside. Please see multiple views below. 19th century.  #9602
