Hand-made doll
Eastern USA
Cotton, linen, buttons, stuffing
19" (48.2 cm) high by 12" (30.5 cm) wide
1930s
Ex. Ames Gallery, Berkeley, ex. Cathryn Cootner, Sonoma

This is what is called a hand-made/home-made doll, as opposed to a 'mend', which was a commercially made doll that was similarly patched and repaired. This charmer is full of life, despite its great age and obvious signs of use.
#7059

$800
